Welcome to Rotorua's Landfill Transfer Station.

At the Rotorua landfill trash transfer station, a small quantity of domestic hazardous material may be disposed of, however it must be disclosed to Waste Management workers upon arrival. This covers things like cleaning supplies, paints, glues, batteries, and other home chemicals as well as sprays for the garden. (Fuel cannot be used.) These things are regarded as harmful and cannot be thrown away in your trash can. Large quantities of hazardous garbage or commercial waste should be disposed of at a qualified hazardous waste service provider rather than at the landfill's refuse transfer station.
